An old photo exists of my incredibly chic grandmother, Nancy, in a pair of straight leg, high-waisted shorts that she paired with a button down shirt neatly tucked into them. The shorts are a dignified length and she looks comortable and happy. This is my version of those shorts. These shorts neither taper nor flare, they are classic and “smart” as my grandmother might say and will not expose your bits and pieces while you’re, you know, living your life bending and stretching and caretaking and working and walking and…you get the picture.

And pockets. Always pockets. Because I’m a human being, god damnit, and I have things to carry.

I just paused writing this and, of course, I can’t find the photo of Nancy. But I will keep searching and promise to share it once it I find it.

I’m offering 8 sizes (size 1-8) and you should take your normal size that you would in pant 1 or 2.
